Ingredients :
8 bone-in short ribs
1 cup hoisin sauce
1 cup low-sodium soy sauce
2 tbsp molasses
6 tbsp grated ginger
6 garlic cloves minced or pressed
1 cup honey
2 tbsp garlic chili sauce
Instructions :
1) Mix the hoisin sauce, soy sauce, molasses, ginger, garlic, honey, and garlic chili sauce in a small bowl. Until smooth, mix with an immersion blender. It’s okay if you don’t have one; your Sauce will simply be a little chunkier.
2) Put the short ribs in a large enamel Dutch oven or another oven-safe dish. Pour the marinade over them and stir them to coat. For 20–30 minutes, cover and let the food marinate at room temperature.
3)The oven should be heated to 300 degrees. Place short ribs in the lowest part of the oven, covered in a Dutch oven. For two hours, braise.
4) Short ribs should be cooked for a further 45 minutes uncovered, with the lid removed, to enable the Sauce to decrease.
5)Take the short ribs out of the oven and place them on a dish. Ladle off the fat from the top of the Sauce or transfer it to a fat separator. Add the short ribs and Sauce (without the fat) back to the Dutch oven. Return to the coat. Serve more Sauce on top of the fried rice.
